Filmmakers Without Borders sends filmmakers and art educators overseas to teach film, media, & technology to underserved students across the world.
I was selected as a fellow for the 2015-2016 year to head-up Filmmakers Without Borders' first North American program in the Navajo Nation.
Half of his week would be dedicated to education in the classroom at Tse'Yi'Gai High School in Pueblo Pintado, NM. The rest of that time would be geared toward creative assignments including a feature length film. 'Six and Bisti' is the first project by a Filmmakers Without Borders fellow to be a feature length scripted fiction project instead of a documentary. Below are some of the milestones achieved in and outside the classroom.
